Youth and Family Services operates as a separate municipal department of the City of West Haven. As an agency, it receives financial assistance from the City of West Haven, state Department of Education, West Haven Community Development Administration and state Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. It is mandated to provide services to children ages birth to 17 and their families. These services include:
Individual, group and family therapy.
Positive youth development programs.
Advocacy for youth.
Youth and Family Services maintains a professional staff, who, in addition to providing treatment, also serve on various boards and committees, provide case management, and develop and run a number of special programs, including parent groups, adolescent groups, family programs and summer activities.
Marriage & Family Clinic
The clinic provides therapeutic services to West Haven residents. Services include family therapy, couples therapy, individual therapy, parenting groups and consultation services.
